WoW..once again, stunning display. The detail added to this background is absolutely amazing. I cant begin to describe the description of this piece. Love the runes/caligriphy on the structures. The waterfalls look incredibly real and alive. The skyline, with the perfect colors you applied..also looks hauntingly real..as if it were space itself I was staring up into instead of a piece of art. Your use of light is incredible, as is your shade work yet again. The overall impact is extraordinary. Love the blend of vibrant colors, and the use of shading..your shading is so symmetrically correct its crazy!! I love this piece..keep the amazing art coming Novum1
Love this piece, and apparently from what I can see, DA has stayed true to the artist and yanked the little wankers DA account. Hate folks that steal what we offer to share so freely.
The only thing that bothers me, is the darkness of the ambient lighting on the buildings. With all that snow, as well as, two planet/moons also reflecting light (given the general direction of the light shown), there would be a great amount of reflected light also hitting the structures.
Myself, although I could no more create such a wonderful artwork as this as I could change my gender, would maybe have more of a glassy type reflection on the structures mirroring the larger planet/moon on the left. Beautiful artwork nonetheless!
Thanks for the crit! It's rare to get such thorough critiques which is very refreshing, it's hard to improve without good crits. Yeah looks like they have taken it down which is good, nothing more annoying than someone stealing your stuff!
You are quite welcome, as I do not comment lightly, and I only take the time to critique for those I can see have the gift of talent, and therefore only want to help that artist to grow by passing along things I've learned in half a century in the commercial photographic and graphic arts industry.
This is why I'm almost a bit jealous of you, as when I was younger we did not have such a wide base of artists being able to view and critique your work, as we do now with place like DA. If there had been a DA when I was younger, I would be twice what I am now despite all my experience.
The most important thing I can pass along, is always do your art for your love of doing art. Never do art for the money, as that always results in artwork that is not true to the artist vision and style, and is usually lacking the talent inherient in the artist. No great artist ever did it for the money, but only for the love of creating and sharing their art. Don't let the commercial world turn what you love into something you dread.
