Description
Current enviro WIP. Based of a sketch I did for David Luongs matte painting class, not a full matte paint but probs a good base for one, haven't done a proper environment for a while so feel good to be doing one, enjoy!

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis shows real depth and thought about the shadows which play a large part in this piece. They show a more mysterious and slightly gloomy feel to the fort which enables it to look like it is at the start of a cave system and holding position for people to enter. It makes it feel like it is part of a world like Helms Deep from LOTR or the floating islands in Avatar. The added features of the waterfalls give an atherial feel to it giving a view of secrecy but also serenity. The mist that rises from them give an extra atmosphere which adds to the mystery of the Fort.
All in all a great piece which shows the darker side of the fort where the aim is not for comfort but to protect and enforce.
